Outdoor recreation is more popular than ever, including kayaking. We’re offering introductory safety courses for those who want to be smart about paddling. Not only is this course perfect for both those looking to improve their kayaking and those new to the sport, but also for casual paddlers who want to expand their knowledge to have more fun on the water.

There are many types of kayaks; some are only appropriate for warm water on calm days near shore, while some are for more serious paddlers who would like to explore the open water. In this course, we will discuss the differences between these kayaks and which one best fits your needs. Learning skills in sea kayaks like we provide for this course gives you practical skills that transfer to all types of paddling. This course will be a great resource for your future in paddlesports.

We provide sea kayaks (double bulkhead sit-inside boats), paddles, spray skirts, wet suits, life jackets, and safety gear. If you have your own kayak, you may also be able to bring that to practice your new skills on, but please be in touch to discuss this option before booking your spot on the course. Want to spend more time in a sea kayak?
